Unique Perspectives Change the World: A Guided AAC Journey
Karanveer will share his unique perspective on AAC by describing how AAC made an impact on (and continues to impact) his life. He will make the case for why even the youngest communicators can benefit from AAC, and will speak directly to the challenges many AAC users face when interacting in the world. Karanveer will walk us through his AAC technology journey and share tips for partners hoping to help AAC users achieve their dreams and goals. His talk will end with a question and answer to allow parents, professionals, and others in attendance to benefit from his experience.

Karanveer Singh
Karanveer Singh is a charismatic young man living with cerebral palsy who communicates primarily with a dynamic eye gaze communication system. He is a college student and business owner who enjoys sharing how Assistive Technology has helped him overcome his disability to more fully participate in his family life, school and community. His goals are to be successful as a professional movie editor and help other people with disabilities. His business, Handsomejatt
Consulting Services, includes contracts for film editing, speaking and consulting for local school districts and other professional organizations in Washington State. He has presented as a keynote speaker for Apple alongside Lt. Governor Cyrus Habib, as well as a keynote for the Washington Occupational Therapy Association (WOTA) conference. Karanveer has also provided several webinar trainings for local school districts and private organizations. He brings the much-needed perspective of a person who uses AAC and other assistive technology to our mission, vision, and values and has much to teach on these topics.
