All the Access, All the People
This session will provide an overview of various alternate access methods for AAC, the related technology and setting options, and how to utilize providers from across AT fields to maximize outcomes. Many individuals with complex bodies require knowledge and skills from a full team of professionals to truly receive the best technology and access. Individuals will learn how to compare and contrast access options, not just from a speech point of view, but from a full access perspective, weighing the pros and cons of individuals solutions as they relate to the patient as a whole.

Meet YOUR instructors
M. Claire Campbell
M. Claire Campbell is a certified SLP/ATP with extensive practice in the area of AAC. Her primary work focuses on individuals with complex bodies requiring AT across disciplines and with multidisciplinary clinics. She routinely coordinates with other AT providers for global care of patients. In addition, Claire previously served as the rep for two different AAC companies, garnering advanced knowledge of products and settings.
Denise Bryant
D. Bryant is a certified SLP/ATP with extensive practice in the area of AAC, including university level instruction. Her primary work focuses on individuals with a variety of physical and intellectual disabilities and with the Down Syndrome multidisciplinary clinic at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. She routinely coordinates with other disciplines for best practice care.
