Literacy, Language & AAC Use: Nurturing a Good Start
Whether you are a parent, teacher, or related service professional, charting a course for a young child that simultaneously supports literacy, language, and AAC use can feel like a juggling act. Yet, the good news is that any time you spend nurturing growth in any area of literacy, language or communication will likely and inevitably produce gains in other areas. In this session the presenter will outline the key priorities for supporting the literacy and language development of young children who use AAC and point to a solution that integrates AAC use with the kinds of literacy instructional experiences that lead to growth.
