AACES Conference 2023 Session
A Family-Centered Approach to AAC
This session will highlight a family-centered approach to AAC that offers rich language support paired with self-paced learning and ongoing support for the team. Embedded in this presentation will be a demonstration of two new AAC solutions - Proloquo and Proloquo Coach. Presented from two perspectives (SLP & Parent of an adult AAC user) this session offers a persuasive perspective on the importance of integrating AAC support into the lives of families during early intervention. The child and family should be at the center of any AAC implementation plan. Join us as we talk about what we've learned from our experiences as both a parent and professional in the field.
