#AACES2026 Conference Session

Achieving Success with an AAC Implementation Plan

Successful AAC outcomes depend on intentional, team-based implementation across settings. This session explores the who, what, why, and how of using an AAC implementation plan to support consistent, effective AAC use. Participants will examine the essential steps involved in launching and sustaining AAC systems, including a structured twelve-step protocol designed to guide implementation across home, school, and therapy environments. The session will highlight how clear roles, shared goals, and coordinated action can improve outcomes, and all attendees will receive a copy of the twelve-step plan to support their own team-based AAC implementation.

Play for Every Body

The theme for #AACES2026 is "Play for Every Body."  Play is the heartbeat of childhood — but for many children with disabilities, play isn’t always accessible. Our Play for Every Body campaign is about opening doors: adapting environments, rethinking routines, and equipping families and professionals with practical strategies. When we say Play for Every Body, we mean every child, every ability, every body.
