AAC, Literacy, & the SLP Learning Series
This 3-part, 6-hour learning series equips speech-language pathologists and other professionals with practical, evidence-based approaches for assessing and supporting literacy development in AAC users and other learners with complex communication needs. Across the series, participants will explore literacy development and assessment, apply Science of Reading principles to instruction, and learn strategies for supporting reading, writing, and access to literacy for learners with complex bodies. Participants will leave with tools and strategies for integrating comprehensive literacy instruction into language intervention—helping AAC users build the reading, writing, language, and communication skills needed for greater independence and authentic expression.
